The Ingredients:

Here are the ingredients you will need for this amazing banana bread recipe:

- 125g butter, softened

- 3/4 cup brown sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 2 eggs

- 3 medium-sized mashed bananas

- 1 ¾ cups plain flour

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda (also known as baking soda)

- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1/3 cup golden syrup

The Method:

Preheat your oven to 160°C. In a large bowl, mix all the wet ingredients together. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix well. Spoon the mixture into a lightly greased loaf tin lined with baking paper or a slice tray if you're in a hurry for it to cook. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until cooked when tested with a skewer. Cool the bread in the tin for 10 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve it with extra butter.
